The best recipes of 2016 as toldby bloggers themselves!Save yourself hours of sifting through Pinterest and feast your eyes on 40+ of the most delicious recipes to grace the internet this year.

Happy 2017, friends!

It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and the happiest of New Years.

I’m not usually one to get all sentimental at the end of the year (after all, does anything reallllly change once the clock strikes midnight?), but I couldn’t help be feel a hint of nostalgia set in when I started to think about everything that has happened over the past 12 months. 2016 definitely had its fair share of ups and downs, but I’m happy to report that, overall, the ups far exceeded the downs. I graduated from my dietetic internship, passed the exam to (finally!) become a Registered Dietitian, moved into an apartment that I love, traveled out west (twice!), visited 2 national parks, hiked a glacier, completedsurvived my first semester of graduate school, and got engaged! It’s been a busy, stressful, exciting and eventful year for sure.Who knows what 2017 will bring, but right nowI’m kind of hoping it’s a nap because I’m exhausted just thinking about everything that happened last year.

Looking ahead to 2017, one of my own personal goals is to (continue to) branch out in the kitchen. As much as I love to try out new recipes, I am admittedly a creature of habit. I tend to find a few recipes that I love and I stick to them like glue. In fact, that’s one of the more selfish reasons why I decided to start this blog – to force myself to step outside of my comfort zone and become more innovative in the kitchen. Because, let’s be honest…with billions of recipes available through the internet, I really have nobusiness eating eggs and avocado toast for dinner 4 nights a week (no matter how delicious that combination is).

But rather than spend hours Pinterest trying to eenie-meenie-miney-moe my way through hundreds of recipes, I decided to go straight to the source. After all, whobetter to ask for recipe advice than the recipe creators themselves?!

So I reached out to some fellow bloggers and asked them…

What was your favorite recipe creation of 2016??

The list of recipes thatI gotbackis nothing short of drool-worthy and completely lives up to the title of “best recipes of 2016”.
